Expressing Grief: A Series of Emotions

  • Jiaren Cafe 1171 Homestead Rd #140B Santa Clara, CA 95050 USA (map)

Join us for "Expressing Grief," a transformative art workshop designed to provide a safe, creative space for those navigating the complex emotions of grief. In this series, participants will explore the healing power of artistic expression as a way to honor loss, process difficult feelings, and reconnect with a sense of hope and renewal.

What to Expect: Through guided sessions, we will use various art mediums—such as painting, drawing, and collage—to give voice to the unspoken and to transform pain into something tangible and beautiful. No prior art experience is necessary—only a willingness to explore and express. Each session will include a short meditation, creative prompts, and time for reflection and sharing within a supportive community.

Whether you’re facing the loss of a loved one, a life transition, or simply carrying the weight of unspoken emotions, this series offers a gentle, compassionate space to be seen and heard. Come as you are, and discover how creativity can help you navigate your unique journey through grief.

Who Should Attend: This event is open to anyone experiencing grief, whether death related or not. All are welcome, regardless of if you wish to share your story, gain insights from others, or simply be in a supportive community.

Sessions Overview: Each 2-hour event session focuses on one emotion.

Each session is a space to reflect, create, and connect with others who are navigating their own emotional landscapes. Through this series, we’ll use art to translate feelings into visual form, finding new ways to process and understand the full range of human experience. Whether you join us for one session or all, we invite you to discover the healing power of creativity.
